A new global treaty could allow corporations to police what we do on the Internet. Last week we successfully pushed back the US censorship bills — if we act now, we can get the EU Parliament to bury this new threat — add your voice now!
Me: “How can I help you today, ma’am?”
Client: “Is e-mail internet”?
Me: “I beg your pardon?”
Client: “Is e-mail on the internet? I have no internet, can I still read my e-mail?”

All day, I kept telling myself I shouldn’t say anything. Then I realized: what the fuck? Be honest.
I found Paul’s post tactless. And I found Erick’s response inappropriate. Perhaps both are fitting given the entire clusterfuck that is this situation. But both are also quite sad.
Many of you…
If any of you believe that incentive for innovation lies in monetary reward, you would be strikingly similar to the majority of our ignorant society. What then, I ask, might you do were there no wages to be earned, but resources in full abundance? Man invented heaven as a place of perfect communism, where everyone is equal and no one knows want. If there were no want on Earth, and every creature were to attain equality, the Democracies of the world would perpetuate an evil that is inequality. This is not in advocacy for Marxism. Communism in practice is only an oligarchy in which a few good man benefit from the labor of the majority, but what then is the Free Market economy, in which 1% own a majority of the wealth? Communism doesn’t work. Democracy doesn’t work. There is greed and there is crime…and there is greed. What crime can not be linked back to adverse conditions created by a lack of resources? If resources were abundant for all, would there not be minimal crime? Perhaps…but by treating money as a resource, which is the only medium through which other resources can be obtained, we limit society from ever achieving cultural evolution. Through collusion, through greed we are devolving. In communism everyone must be as one. In democracy everyone is different. One people, no vote. One person, one vote. Both flawed. Our diversity defines our society, our similarities create our society. I belong to no country. I am a citizen of the planet Earth. Until more people align to views similar to this, there will always be a divided nation. A divided world.
